Frequently asked questions with respect to your First Visit

1Do I need to have my First Visit at a certain point in my menstrual cycle?
No. You do not need to have your first visit at a particular point of your period. Anytime in your cycle will be a good time for our fertility doctors to monitor your reproductive health.
2Should I bring anything with me while attend my First Visit?
Bring both you and your spouse's passport and marriage certificate (complete copies as well) and your past reproductive health report (such as blood work and semen analysis in the last 12-18 months) if available.
3How long will my First Visit last?
We fully understand that time is of the essence for our patients. However, in order to thoroughly evaluate your current reproductive health and enable your primary fertility doctor to have all the necessary information to establish an optimal treatment plan for you and your spouse, your First Visit will in general last between two to three hours depending on individual circumstances and preferences. First Visit in general includes initial consultation with an IVF nurse, a transvaginal ultrasound and meet with your preferred fertility doctor to discuss your treatment plan.
4Will any tests perform on me or my spouse at the First Visit?
Most of our patients will have a transvaginal ultrasound performed and blood work drawn at their first visit. Additional examinations such as semen analysis and further blood work are performed on a case by case basis. You may accept or decline any tests at any time. The recommended treatment plan will be discussed in detail with you at your first visit, and you may proceed as you opt for.
5What if my spouse will not attend the First Visit?
We highly encourage both you and your spouse attend the first visit since it always takes two to tango. However, if your spouse will not attend the first visit, it is not necessary to reschedule. Your spouse will need to attend one of your follow-up appointments during the monitoring phase of your treatment cycle.
